Welcome!
Through a series of interdisciplinary colloquia, this group showcases and promotes the interesting work that gets accomplished at UVic under the rubric of "Victorian Studies." It brings together faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from a range of disciplines (History, English, Women's Studies, Art History) who are interested in nineteenth-century British Studies. Graduate student members are warmly encouraged to use this lively and supportive venue as a way of preparing a paper for conference presentation or publication. We welcome new members and drop-in visitors!
We are delighted that UVic has been selected to be the new home for the interdisciplinary journal Victorian Review. Graduate students are encouraged to work with the journal's editorial team: if you are interested in gaining experience on the editing and production of a scholarly journal, please please contact the editors, Alison Chapman (alisonc@uvic.ca) and Lisa Surridge (lsurridg@uvic.ca).
