A 30 sec sequence of screen shots from one of the ROPOS video cameras showing a Slender sole (Lyopsetta exilis) escape response. Fish are digging into the sediment and swimming under the sediment surfaces. In this example, photographed at at 135 m depth in Saanich Inlet during the ABENTHO05 cruise (July 2005) the fish is traveling close to 2 m under the sediment while resuspending large clouds of sediments.
