Ethnicity in Global Perspective

An examination of anthropological perspectives on the cultural construction of ethnicity, race and nationalism as well as the historical processes which influenced the formation of ethnic groups and nations, with illustration from various regions of the world including Canada.

Note:

  • Students who have completed ANTH 335 prior to 2006-07 may request permission to register in the course.

Prerequisites:

  • ANTH 200; or
  • permission of the program.

Undergraduate course in Anthropology offered by the Department of Anthropology in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
