An exploration of feminist and non-feminist theories of race, racism and racialization in relation to other sources of structured social inequality. Approaches will include political, economic, cultural and psychoanalytic theories.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of GNDR 332, WS 334.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum second-year standing; or
  • permission of the department.

Recommendation(s):

Undergraduate course in Gender Studies offered by the Department of Gender Studies in the Faculty of Humanities.
