Studies indigenous societies and cultures of the Pacific Islands and their links to the world system. Material on Fiji, Tonga, Hawaii, New Zealand and other parts of the region provides a basis to examine classical and current issues.

  • Credit will be granted for only one of PAAS 364, PACI 328A.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum second-year standing.

Undergraduate course in Pacific and Asian Studies offered by the Department of Pacific and Asian Studies in the Faculty of Humanities.
