Topics chosen from: conformal mappings, the Riemann mapping theorem, the maximum principle, infinite products, Picard's theorem, normal families, Hp-spaces, approximation by rational functions, the Riemann zeta function, analytic continuation and Riemann surfaces.
Note:
- Students who have completed a course equivalent to MATH 438 may request permission to register in the course.
Prerequisites:
- One of MATH 330B, MATH 338, MATH 438; or
- permission of the department.
Graduate course in the Mathematics program offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
