Introductory Microbiology I

A broad introduction to the field of microbiology. Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell structure and function; physiology and growth of microorganisms; control of microbial growth; viruses; molecular taxonomy of microorganisms.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of MICR 200A, MICR 200.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum second-year standing; or
  • permission of the department.

Undergraduate course in Microbiology offered by the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology in the Faculty of Science.
