Communications Theory and Systems II

Transmission and filtering of random signals, analysis of modulation systems, in particular pulse code modulation, phase shift keying, frequency shift keying, etc., design of modems and of CODECs, introduction to noise analysis, information theory and coding.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of ECE 450, ELEC 450.

Prerequisites:

Undergraduate course in Electrical and Computer Engineering offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
