Engineering Drawing

Units: 1.5

Hours: 3-1.5*-0

Engineering drawing: sketching, orthographic projections, multiple views, sectional views, isometric and perspective projections, dimensions and tolerances, and working drawings. Computer Aided Design: wire-frame, surface and solid modelling. Machine Shop Practice: micrometers and verniers, drilling, turning and milling.

* Indicates a 3 hour laboratory taken by students on alternate weeks.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of MECH 200, ELEC 200.

Prerequisites:

Undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
