Flight vehicle conceptual and preliminary design. Market analysis. Mission requirements, sizing, trade-offs. Aircraft general arrangement, fuselage, wing, empennage, landing gear design. Weight and balance. Stability and control. Drag polar. Aircraft structural arrangement, maneuvering envelope. Project.

Prerequisites:

Undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering.
