Microbial Pathogenesis

Bacterial pathogens; emphasis on molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis including antigenic variation, host cell parasitism, evasion of host immune defences, and mimicry of eukaryotic structures.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of MICR 408, MICR 301.

Prerequisites:

Undergraduate course in Microbiology offered by the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology in the Faculty of Science.
