Introduction to Film Scoring and Sound Design

Hours: 2-1-0

Workshop assignments in composing and structuring original soundtracks and sound design for film and plays. The screenplay as a narrative guide for orchestration, timing and pace, and character development through musical devices will be explored through exercises.

  • This course is an elective, open to both music and non-music students.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum second-year standing; and
  • permission of the school.

Undergraduate course in Music offered by the School of Music in the Faculty of Fine Arts.
