The interrelationships of law and other social institutions, socio-economic origins and class interests of legal functionaries, and law as social conflict are analyzed in Canadian and cross-cultural contexts.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of SOCI 313, SOCI 401.

Prerequisites:

  • 1.5 units of 300- or 400-level SOCI course; or
  • permission of the department.

Recommendation(s):

Undergraduate course in Sociology offered by the Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
