An introductory course in the biological sciences. Evolutionary theory, Mendelian genetics, mitosis and the cell cycle, meiosis and sexual life cycles, and diversity of prokaryotes, protists, plants, fungi, invertebrates and craniates.
Notes:
- Credit will be granted for only one of BIOL 184, BIOL 190B.
- BIOL 184 and BIOL 186 may be taken in any order.
- Students who have passed a placement exam may request permission to register in the course.
Prerequisites:
Undergraduate course in Biology offered by the Department of Biology in the Faculty of Science.
