Linear continuous systems: transverse vibrations of strings, lateral beam vibrations, axial and torsional vibration of rods. Random vibration; stationary random processes, correlation functions, Fourier analysis, power spectral density, random response of SDOF systems. Vibration measurement and Experimental Modal Analysis. Introduction to non-linear vibrations; approximate analytical solutions, graphical methods, stability of equilibrium states.
