Examines various aspects of the history of Japan, with emphasis on the complex, changing relationship of the economy, politics, culture and ideas.

Note:

  • Credit will be granted for only one of PAAS 380, PACI 321, PACI 321A.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum third-year standing; and
  • Academic Writing Requirement satisfied; or
  • permission of the department.

Undergraduate course in Pacific and Asian Studies offered by the Department of Pacific and Asian Studies in the Faculty of Humanities.
