In addition to the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, admission to the doctoral program in the School of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education includes a master's degree in kinesiology or related field, a letter describing the proposed research topic, two academic referees, a confirmed supervisor and a current curriculum vitae. In exceptional circumstances students can transfer from a Masters thesis program. Transfer approval requires an 8.0 GPA on a minimum of 7.5 units of completed graduate program coursework over two or more terms, recommendation from the supervisor, and evidence of research ability in the form of a draft manuscript or written pilot study report. Transfer cannot occur until after two terms in the Master's.
