Interdisciplinary Methods Applied to Health Research

Units: 1.5

Provides an overview of qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methods employed in various research studies. Introduces students to research methods such as epidemiology, grounded theory, ethnography, case studies, surveys, experimental studies, secondary analysis of existing datasets and Indigenous methodologies. Course work may include proposal writing, presentations and developing community partnerships. Methods are core to conducting health research and preparing independent research.
