Trainee positions, Delaney Laboratory University of Victoria
Cellular Neuroscience positions:
Fully funded graduate student and postdoctoral positions available for in Dr. Delaney's laboratory at the University of Victoria.
Positions are available to use mammalian or amphibian olfactory bulb and neuromuscular junctions as models to study
fundamental questions relating to the role of synapses and dendrites in shaping the output of neural networks. Positions also available
to study cell genotype specific effects on cortical processing due to the loss of function of MeCP2 which causes the neurodevelopmental
disorder known as Rett Syndrome. Training in neurophysiology, calcium imaging and a variety of histological techniques is offered.
Trainees will join an active and highly collaborative group of
cellular neuroscientists at UVic
