The Research Data Centre at the University of Victoria is part of the Canadian Research Data Centre Network (CRCDN). We are supported by our partner universities, SSHRC/CIHR, and Statistics Canada to facilitate access to data for crucial social research while protecting the confidentiality and security of Canadians’ information. RDCs located throughout the country mean researchers are not obliged to travel to Ottawa to access Statistics Canada data.

The RDC Is Currently Operating At Reduced Capacity Due To The Covid-19 Pandemic

Researchers must now pre-book appointments to work in the RDC. The RDC is a Statistics Canada facility and thus operates according to Statistics Canada’s rules. As a federal agency, Statistics Canada is following Public Health Agency of Canada Protocols which require the wearing of medical mask of at least ASTM Level 1 inside the RDC. Medical masks are available at the front entrance area. Please sanitize your hands and then pick up a medical mask upon entry.
