· CUPR is the representative body and voice for academics in Canada.
· CUPR's executive is responsible for determining the Terms of reference for the Council and implementing the decisions adopted by the annual meeting of members.
· CUPR will promote and facilitate scholarly presentations in conjunction with the CAHPERD conference. These sessions can take various formats, including research presentations, panels and forum debates.
· CUPR representatives will promote the research journal through membership on Editorial Board, and submission of manuscripts.
2.8.2.4 Membership
· Voting members of CUPR will be members in good standing of CAHPERD. CUPR will be multi-disciplinary and will benefit all those interested in research, particularly Canadian faculty and graduate students (CUPR membership will be open as the Council's goal is to be inclusive rather than exclusive).
· As part of the CAHPERD umbrella, CUPR will also facilitate cross-fertilization and exchange of ideas with other professional members in CAHPERD. The research-oriented journal AVANTE will be delivered to subscribers through CAHPERD.

· CAHPERD has agreed to sponsor one trip each year for the CUPR executive based on the agreement that the CUPR executive, at their own expense meets one other time during the year.
