INSTRUCTIONS
FOR CUTTING AND PASTING STILL IMAGES FROM VIDEO CLIP
Your video clip will be e-mailed to you.
Using a Mac or IBM computer:
- Open your video clip in
QUICKTIME or QUICKTIME PRO. To do
this just clip on file and QUICKTIME should launch itself if installed on
the computer). You may have to
open the file from within QUICKTIME.
If so, open up QUICKTIME then locate your file in the browser to
then open.
- Click on play and you will see
yourself playing the stroke.
- To stop the clip click on the
image. The still frame you see can
then be copied.
- To copy, select from EDIT
option the COPY command.
- The still frame is then copied
into your clipboard (like a clipboard in real life)
- Open up the WORD word-processor
in the LAUNCHER menu and then click on the “Edit” option selecting the
“PASTE SPECIAL” option. This pasting
option will allow you to paste the image on the clipboard as a PICTURE,
select this option and your image will be pasted as a picture in your word
file.
- You can then position the image
in your word file as you want by clicking on the image and dragging it to
position it in your word document.
- Remember to give the image a
Figure label so that you can refer to it in your analysis.
- Copy and past eight stills from
you video clip representing the four phases of a skill.
- Then, SAVE your word file on
your FLOPPY disc by selecting the “SAVE AS” command. Make sure you save your document on
your disc by checking your disk for the word file before you leave the
computer.
