Cognitive Learning Outcomes
* The student will be able to apply their learning of doubles team play in badminton so that each team will be able to fluently switch between offense and defense during a rally * The student will be able to explain 5 key points in able to complete a proper backhand tumbling net shot to their partner during the task card lesson day * The student will be able to apply teaching points to their partners backhand serve so that they will be able to serve numerous birdies into a hula hoop * The student will be able to apply their knowledge of the rules of badminton so that they can successfully complete a mini-test outlining the lines on the badminton court as well as beginner rules * The student will be able to work in groups to make a badminton tournament for 10 teams in either a round robin format or an ABCD format * The student will be able to comprehend the reciprocal style of teaching and use this to help his or her partner further their gameplay by helping them focus on the keys of the net shots |
Psychomotor Learning Outcomes * The student will be able to serve short and long in doubles match play * The student will be able to the proper technique used in completing an effective reverse smash * The student will be able to demonstrate improvement in their defensive shots such as the forehand and backhand clears from the start of the unit to the end of the unit * The student will be able to execute proper offensive and defensive footwork in collaberation with their partner during the doubles tournament * The student will be able to succeed at serving multiple birdies into hula-hoops using the backhand short serve method * The student will be able to demonstrate improvement in their offensive shots such as the smash and overhead slice |
