UTTHITA TRIKONASANA

start in Tadasana
-
inhale and jump feet about 4ft apart (or step feet apart)
-
at the same time raise arms to shoulder height - palms down
-
ensure feet are even and face to the front
-
turn the right foot 15 degrees in and the left foot 90 degrees out
-
line up front heel with back instep - face forward
-
keep knees in alignment by rotating whole leg
-
exhale and hinge from the hip to the left placing the left hand as far
down the left ankle as possible (goal should be the ankle)
-
extend the right arm up - palm forward
-
turn head to look at arm - BREATHE!!
-
hold for 20 - 30 seconds then return to a standing position with legs wide
and arms out
-
repeat on the other side
-
jump back to Tadasana
