2 on 1 Attack Game
Warm-Up Outline
Tactical Problem: Proper on the ball and off the ball positioning when attacking the net
Skill development:  TSWBAT shoot the ball accurately
                                 TSWBAT move to space quickly and efficiently while calling for the ball

Teaching Points: 
  • communicate- call for the ball
  • spread out
  • use fakes
  • proper shooting technique
  • if attackers score they get 1 point if the defender scores they get 2 points
  • defender gets on chance to score, if they miss the game is re-started

Organizational Points:
  • goals are made with large cones, defender goal is 1 m wide while attacker goal is 6 m wide
  • group students in groups of 3 (groups of 4 will have one coach)
  • label them 1, 2, 3--number 1 becomes the first defender, rotate after a few attempts
Equipment:
  • 20 large cones
  • 10 soccer balls
  • 30 pinnies
Extension:
  • goal can be made smaller
  • attackers have to make a certain number of passes before they score
Simplification:
  • goal can be made larger
