Queen of the Circle
Warm-Up Outline
Tactical Problem:  The student will learn to keep their head up and look to space while dribbling a soccer ball
Skill development:  TSWBAT move quickly and efficiently to space
                                 TSWBAT use fakes to get away from other players

Teaching Points: 
  • Every student has a ball in a circle on the field
  • Each student tries to keep their own ball while trying to kick everyone else's ball out of the circle
  • students should keep their heads up!
  • student's who get "out" practice passing alongside of the game

Organizational Points:
  • with 37 students, use two or three circles
  • remind students to kick the ball not each other's ankles
Equipment:
  • 36 soccer balls
