Shark Attack: Task Outline
Tactical Problem: Maintaining possession while dribbling and finding open space.
Skill focus: Dribbling with head up and non-dribbling arm out to protect ball from defenders.
Teaching Points: 
  • keep your head up and scan the defense
  • keep arm out to protect ball
  • try to dribble to space where "shark" isn't
  • bounce the ball low 
Organizational Points:
  • 10 students in each coned-off mini area
  • 2 "sharks" w/o the ball try to knock balls away
  • if "shark" steals a ball or knocks it out of bounds, he/she is now a dribbler
  • dribblers must always stay in bounds
  • can add or get rid of "sharks" for complexity changes
