Basic Guarding Technique

Here we have Mark ready to defend.  Some good teaching cues to help students acquire the proper technique:
-Bent knees, shoulder width apart or even wider
- Hands up
- Square to opponent

When defender moves laterally, the lead foot should be the foot closest  to the direction of travel. Their feet should not cross over.
