Activity:
Rules:
- tosser puts ball over net to reciever
- reciever passes to setter.
- setter passes back to reciever.
- reciever puts the ball over the net to the shagger.
- players on the same side of the net switch roles, (reciever -->
setter)
- NOT a continuous drill, complete 6 repetitions and have the two groups
switch roles, (setter & reciever --> tosser and shagger)
- Can become a continuous drill as the students skill level improves.
Teaching Points:
Forearm pass:
- Strong base: legs shoulder width apart, knees bent, weight on
the front of the feet.
- Solid platform: hands together, elbows turned together, minimal
gap between arms.
- At contact don't swing with the arms; "accuracy over power".
- Initiate pass with the legs, pushing up through the arms.
