Defending End Zones
Defending End Zones
- 3 defenders stand between their cones (end zone) in defensive stance. They can only defend on their line - no forward or backward movement allowed. The Defender is trying to pull the flag of an attacker to prevent them from getting into the end zone. Attackers run at defenders holding football in an effort to evade and maneuver around the defender and make it into the end zones without their flag getting pulled.
Progression: before attempting to maneuver around the first defender, the attacker first receives a
pass from the next attacker waiting in line (see video demonstration below).
Organization: 3 boxes set up in a row - each 8x8 yards, a pinney for each defender, a ball for each
attacker.
