Description of game: Pass the ball around the grid, and move to an open cone.
Aim: Works on passing and catching,as well as moving into open space. In addition, it gets the student to think about movement and support which are crucial aspect of an offensive attack
Structure: 3 players per 4 corner grid
Rules: Must use rugby style pass, after a pass move to an open cone, and if a pass is dropped pick up the ball refocus and continue
Key tactical and skill application: Works primarily on off the ball movement, yet incorporates handling and receiving a pass. These skills leads to tactical aspects such as support, movement, and the progression of an attack
PIG IN THE MIDDLE
Description of game: Pass the ball as many times as you can between student, and try to avoid the ball being intercepted.
Aim: works on passing and catching as well as moving into space. Helps students to understand the impotence of movement to help teammates move the ball up field.
Structure: In a grid any where from 4-8 players should try to keep the ball away from the people in the middle
Rules: Players must use a rugby pass, you cant pass the ball back to the same player you received it from, and if the person in the middle intercepts the ball a new person/s is in the middle
Key tactical and skill application: Works on passing and catching as well as communication and movement decision off the ball, (where to go and why to go there?)
