Grid Game 2 on 1 Keep Away
Task Progression for modified games
Aim:
To keep possession of the ball in a 2 on 1 situation while playing within a confined grid space.
Rules:
1.Players may not move while in possession of the ball.
2.Players move around when not in possession
3.Players rotate through the defensive position when an interception is made or when 3 successful passes have been made.
Tactical Awareness:
This game works at getting open and moving into space while keeping possession of the ball.
Off-the ball movements:
Base: In ready position to receive the ball.
Decision Making: Where to make the pass and where to run.
Adjust: Moving to the open space and getting back to base.
Guarding: picking up a check while not losing sight of general space on defense.
Support: Help teammate by being in a good position to receive the ball.
On-the ball Skills:
Sending (passing).
Receiving (catching).
