Scope

Entry abilities:


*Some students may be able to make passes during drill and game play

*Some students may be able to receive passes during drill and game play

*Many students will have difficulty passing and receiving the ball during drill and game play

*Many students may be able to cooperate in pairs and/or groups during drill and game play

*Many students will be aware of space limitations and the safety concerns involved with lacrosse equipment use

*Some students will have the competency to score a goal in some capacity and understand limited tactics

*Many students will be able to execute short passes during drill and game play

*Many students will be able to receive passes during drill and game play

*Many students will be able to make the appropriate tactical decisions during drill and game play

*Many students will be able to create, defend and exploit space in drill and game play

*Many students will be able to play with respect for the equipment, instructor and other participants in regards to physical and              emotional well-being

*Many students will be able to score in drill and game play

Cognitive Learning Domain

Entry: TSWBAT identify some lacrosse equipment and basic gross tactical principles, and know some general rules of lacrosse and their classroom.

Exit: TSWBAT identify the lacrosse stick, ball, goal targets and miscellaneous equipment use in drills, know rules for a variety of modified lacrosse games and drills, understand the importance of moving and passing within space to score, and defending to prevent scoring opportunities.


Psychomotor Learning Domain

Entry: TSWBAT pass the ball within a grid with efficiency with the stick, move to where the ball is or will be, and have simplified sending, receiving, and retaining ball skills with the stick.

Exit: TSWBAT pass the ball within a grid with efficiency with a stick, move to where the ball is or will be and communicate to receive the ball, perform base, support, and defensive movements, and have consistently accurate sending, receiving, and retaining lacrosse skills.


Affective/Social Learning Domain

Entry: TSWBAT work efficiently and cooperate in partners/groups/teams.

Exit: TSWBAT work efficiently and cooperate in partners/groups/teams to create an environment for the bettering of the understanding and performance of lacrosse games, drills and skills and give feedback about their attained skills and performance with the help of self-assessment strategies.
