This web site, designed by Tyler Cheetham and Raechel Marchand, is a 4 lesson excerpt from a 10, 60 minute lesson volleyball unit. We have drawn on elements of Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) for our athletic fieldwork and analysis to create a lesson plan to fit the needs of each individual in a diverse physical education class. PE 452 at the University of Victoria with Dr. Tim Hopper has made us all aware of the effort that goes into promoting physical activity in schools, but has opened our eyes to how beneficial these lessons can be in changing the way children and adolescents view sports. This project will act as an essential resource for us as teachers in years to come.
