Overview:

An example of how to assess the students while using the TGFU format include; assessment of a good base while playing, support for off the ball movements, skill execution towards the end of the unit, making sure to take improvement into consideration, quality of decision making and the ability to make adjustment while playing these games.

    Ways to do this include:

1. Assessment done by the peers.  The key idea of this includes feedback from a partnered peer, and then a self evaluation and ideas on how to improve for next time using the feedback given from their peer.

2. To ensure the feedback was correct and helpful for the peers, the teacher can video record the class over an extended period of time, and then assessing students by watching the video footage, followed by some feedback for each student as well.

Student Learning:

This format is beneficial for the students learning abilities because it involves lots of positive feedback from the teacher which encourages the students ability to learn and improve.

Teaching Instruction:

It is important for the teachers to give positive feedback to the students which will enable them to learn and give them the confidence and drive to practice and improve.

This assessment shout be done towards the end of the unit, however feedback should be given constantly and consistent throughout the unit.
