Circle Passing
Game/Task Outline
Tactical Problem: to be able to move around a circle while dribbling and effectively pass using instep of foot to partner
Skill development: moving into space while passing to partner with some degree of accuracy
  • Teaching points:
    • maintain ball control
    • square to target
    • use instep of foot
    Organizational Points: 
    • in pairs, one partner is stationary, other partner with ball
    • moving in a circle
    • person on outside of circle moves around stationary partner
    • stationary partner passes and traps the ball
    • circling player dribbles and passes
    • switch positions once teacher says "switch"
    Variations:
    • reverse directions
    • repeat activity without involving trap
