Game/Task Outline
Tactical Problem: understanding and using the instep pass with some accuracy
Skill development: passing the soccer ball using the instep of the foot to a teamate
Teaching points:
  • pass ball through cones to partner
  • knees bent, non kicking foot next to ball
  • inside foot contacts ball
  • partner traps ball and passes ball back using proper technique
Organizational Points: 
  • get in pairs
  • one ball and two cones each
  • one's get ball, two's get cones
Variations:
  • change distance between cones
  • change distance from the goals
  • change the angle of shooting
