EQUIPMENT:

• all balls not in use are kept contained in proper area (ie. bin or hula hoop)

• equipment spread out if a variety of equipment is needed in the lesson
• equipment is set out to match students' skill level
• students are assigned numbers when in groups to delegate who gets and puts away what equipment ("ones go get a ball, twos go find an open space")

SPACE:

• use as much of the gym or field as possible

• provide adequate space between grids to eliminate confusion

• make sure teacher is able to supervise amount of space set out
• allow students enough space to perform task effectively / safely
• teacher should be close enough to provide frequent feedback
• the grid is an effective tool to space class (can extend and simplify easily)
