Overview Where is the intersection of medicinal and supramolecular chemistry? We use organic synthesis and a variety of analytical techniques to design, make, and study molecules that ask basic questions about structure and binding in a biological setting. We also collaborate closely with several biochemistry and cancer-research laboratories to translate these discoveries into practical advances in the treatment and understanding of disease. Follow the links below for details. 1) Synthetic receptors that function in water: mimicking and targeting protein hot spots 2) Small molecule inhibitors of protein-protein interactions: exploring novel anti-cancer targets 3) Fundamental studies on the common drug heterocycle tetrazole We are grateful to the following agencies for research funding: Current: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Past: -Canadian Institutes of Health Research (New Investigator Award) -The Cancer Research Society of Canada -Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (BC/Yukon) |
