Lesson Eight
Create your own Creative scenario dance with a partner or in groups of three
Objectives:
Students will cooperate in partnerships or triads to work with a variety of movements, situation and apparatus to create a dance scene.
Materials:
Variety of apparatus, ribbons, hoops, ropes, benches, mats, all for use by the students if they choose, music or player for them to practice and workshop dances
Introduction:
Refresh their minds what is happening:
“Today you will be given the entire class to work on and design your dances, if you have questions or need help with any of the transitions please feel free to speak to me.”
Yoga to warm up: Do three yoga poses on their own or lead by team leader in groups
Activities:
Teacher will circulate comment on good ideas and provide thoughts that will make transitions smoother. Be careful to provide positive feedback to everyone.
Conclusion:
Some of the groups can perform their routines and others can watch and provide feedback.
Lesson One
Explore different types of music and expression.
Objectives:
Students will play games and run, jump, slide, and move their bodies according to various types of music.
Materials: drum, Variety of Music angry, sad, happy, light, flowing, jarring, jumping, etc.

Conclusion:
Everyone gather around. When I count to three put your body into you favourite position from today and hold it for five seconds. (Can do half the class then half the class) think pair share about why you chose that position.
