Curtis & Moore and Langley Brothers advertising appears
the Victoria newspapers starting as early as 1859. Both
continued to advertise for many years, often side-by-side
in the same issue. Like modern drug stores, they sold
much more than just drugs.
Langley Brothers was the Victoria branch of a San Francisco
firm.
Both druggists sold the usual array of patent medicines,
imported directly from England, according to their ads.
