Curtis & Moore and Langley Brothers advertising appears the Victoria newspapers starting as early as 1859. Both continued to advertise for many years, often side-by-side in the same issue. Like modern drug stores, they sold much more than just drugs.

 

Langley Brothers was the Victoria branch of a San Francisco firm.

Both druggists sold the usual array of patent medicines, imported directly from England, according to their ads.
