Lesson 1 - Topic of learning: Basic skills of passing and catching the football, as well as off the ball movements while on offence.
Tactical problem - what is the most effective way of getting the football into the opponents territory? Running or passing?

Ducks and Geese
Aim: depending on which team name is called, get up and tag your partner before they reach the end line
Skills required

-Get body moving and blood flowing

Aim: to create a continuous rally within the group, using proper catching and passing technique.
Skills required
-Reviews how to grip the football to make an effective pass
-Where to transfer weight to throw the football with velocity
-Followthrough with fingers to create an accurate pass
-Always have a target hand up when receiving the ball

Aim: To get all the footballs into your teams zone.

-Change of speeds
Aim: To work with teammates to progress the ball to opposing teams end zone. Point is scored when offensive team receives a pass in opponents end zone.

Students are expected to learn how to throw and catch a football and use these skills to create flowing drills

Students are expected to know the key points of how to correctly hold a football
Students are expected to know the key points of how to correctly throw a football
Students are expected to know the key points of how to correctly catch a football
Students are expected to be able to explain the key points of how to hold, throw and catch a football
