Accommodation
The hotel for the 2009 BC Studies Conference was the Harbour Towers Hotel and Suites, located in downtown Victoria.
Room Rates:
Room rates were negotiated for the conference as follows:
- $109.00 residential view
- $119.00 mountain/ocean view
- $129.00 harbour view
Rates were based on single or double occupancy, and there was an additional charge of $19.00 per additional adult, per room. Children aged 16 or under stayed free when with parents. Room taxes are 10% provincial hotel room tax and 5% GST.
Reservations:
The total number of rooms reserved was limited. In order to secure space and these rates rooms had to be booked no later than February 28th 2009. Individuals contacted the hotel directly and had to quote the group's name, BC Studies Conference, in order to qualify for the negotiated rate, and they had to provide a credit card to guarantee the reservation.
