Lesson 13

1. I would like to celebrate my birthday at a restaurant. I don't want to have a party at home this year.

2. I have to set the table. Would you bring me a napkin, a knife, spoon and fork, and two plates please?

3. - We would go to the fish market for you, Mom, but we don't have time. We must go to the pastry shop.
    - Wise Guys!

4. - Where did you put the sparkling wine?
    - I put it in the fridge.
    - Give it to me, please.

5. - Did you cook the first course for me?
    - Yes, of course (that) I cooked it for you!

6. Yesterday Mrs. Giannini went shopping. She went to the butcher's, to the fish vendor's, and to the baker's.

7. - Are they preparing the second course for you (pl)?
    - Yes, they are preparing it for us at this moment.

8. - You bought them dinner?
    - No, I didn't buy it for them. I would never buy it for them!

9. - I must attend to dinner.
    - You cook very well.
    - Carlo told (it to) me.
    - I am flattered!

10. You always turn to us when you need help...
    - Are you going to give me some, then?
    - We always give it to you!
