Chapter 3 1. Mrs. Martini went to shop at the lingerie store because there was a very good end of season sale. She was not able to pay with the credit card and had to write a check. 2. Last Saturday my husband shopped for groceries. He did not spend a lot because he likes to buy everything on sale. It it's not cheap, if he cannot get a bargain... he does not buy anything! 3. We climbed that high mountain in Central Africa in the Spring of 1996. Now our lives have changed. We know that we cannot afford to waste time... 4. Miss Tramini asked her father for the money but he asked her why she wanted it. She turned and left. She decided that it was not worth it. Instead, she ran to the bank and they increased her salary. 5. My mother has always given me good advice. She told me I must be content with my situation. I must settle down with a handsome man (a rich man!), and in return, I will have no more doubts.
