Chapter 9 1. The next day they arrived as though nothing had happened. The body (of the car) had been damaged in the accident and the windshield was broken. I was surprised they had been able to start the car to return home! 2. "Guys, I thought you had learned your lesson the last time you collided with that truck... you remember, the red one... Do you think you have understood this time?" 3. "It is not necessary that you reproach us. Oh! If only we had stayed home last week! The only reason (for which) we went was to take an excursion with our friends." 4. "Perhaps next time your friends will not want to get in the car with you. You must slow down when you drive! Nowadays one is not safe on the lanes of our highways!" 5. "The mechanic said he would do everything possible to fix the damages. He is the one whose wife takes piano lessons. I'm afraid I will have to apply for a loan to pay him."
