The block plan is an outline of a potential progression for the unit.  Depending on the response of students this progression could be adapted.

Lesson 1  Tactical Problem  Maintaining Ball Possession   Lesson focus:  Partner Passing  Skill objective: Be able to pass the ball amongst            teammates (under control)    Introductory task/game   Pass with partners once around the field calling your teammate's name when you pass to them. Lesson 3  Tactical Problem Restarting Game Play Lesson focus:  Restarting Game Play Using            'Throw-Ins'  Skill objective:  To throw in the ball from the           side line to a teammate jogging down           field & receive a throw-in while jogging.    Introductory task/game Partner throw-ins to each other (5m apart) Must use proper technique & aim at chest and feet   Skill/Concept development tasks/games Throw, Trap & Pass Throw, Trap, Turn & Pass Throw, trap on run and pass back   Culminating Game:  5 on 5 game using 1/3 Soccer field  No Goalies Goals Must Be Scored On The Ground Regular Soccer Rules Throw-ins to restart play from sideline		Lesson 4  Tactical Problem Scoring Goals Lesson focus: Shooting the ball to the openings in the net Skill objective: To be able to receive a pass              and kick the ball to an open              part of the goal.   Introductory task/game Partner passing around the field Partner passing, moving to space   Skill/Concept development tasks/games Shooting on Goal (about 18 yards out) Receive a pass and shoot on goal   Culminating Game:  5 on 5 game using 1/3 Soccer field  Larger goals  with goalies Goals can be scored on the ground or in the air under 8 feet.
