Chemistry 300A, Chemistry in Modern Society, is a course about how chemistry and society interact. The course is project-based and will cover three main themes:

• Energy and pollution
• Food and agrochemicals
• Polymers and personal-care products
• Pharmaceuticals

Students are expected to work is project groups to explore each of these areas. The course will involve some lectures, in-class and out of class project work and peer evaluation.
