SECTION 2 - SKIP AND BOUNCE

SKIP/FREEZE

Skip for 7 beats and then freeze on the 8th beat.

Look at the picture again and introduce the idea that the little creatures living behind the door are actually elves. 

 

Body: up on toes, bent knees, pointed elbows

Effort: quick, light

A skips and freezes, then B skips and freezes behind A, then repeat.

Teacher should partner students and ensure each child knows if they are either A or B.

Have adaptations ready for possible group of three (two A's or two B's).

BOUNCE

Two slow bounces then three quick bounces.

Bounce away from partner, then towards them and repeat.
