DYNAMIC EMPHASIS
Contrast between sudden, high
energy gallop and the sustained freeze positions of the partners.
Effort qualities will differ
depending on the winter sports the students choose:
(Eg. figure skaters will have
extended limbs, and glide smoothly and elegantly; ski jumpers will be
twisted and contracted and use explosive, sudden movements).
|
SPATIAL EMPHASIS
Varying pathways and levels for the gallop sequence.
During the freeze, extended
limbs and varying levels represent the athletes' stretching routine
prior to competition.
Closed circle formation in
the middle of the gym for passing the torch.
During winter sport sequence,
use entire gym space.
